[“In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.”] Acts 20:35
The holiday season is a beautiful reminder of God’s love and grace. This year, the Sayre Foundation had the privilege of partnering with the Wayne County Job and Family Services to spread Christmas cheer to families in need.
On December 15th, a team of volunteers from the Sayre Foundation gathered to serve and be a blessing to these families. From toys for children to practical needs for parents, each gift was chosen from each family’s wish list. Once the gifts were purchased and wrapped, the Wayne County Job and Family Services were crucial in ensuring each family received their Christmas gifts. The experience of shopping together was not just about the gifts; it was about the fellowship, the joy of serving, and the reminder of Christ’s ultimate gift to us.
As we reflect on this beautiful season, we are filled with gratitude for the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus. The Sayre Foundation looks forward to continuing to spread Christmas cheer and love throughout our community, knowing that in doing so, we are living out Christ’s calling to serve and bless others.
May the peace and joy of Christ fill your hearts this Christmas season and throughout the coming year.
