Honoring a Legacy: Meet Quinn Maibach, Our First Scholarship Recipient
June 19th, 2025
We are excited to announce a major milestone for the Sayre Foundation — the awarding of our very first Sam Sayre Legacy Scholarship!
This scholarship was created to honor the life and legacy of Sam Sayre — a husband, father, coach, and mentor who deeply impacted countless lives in our community. His legacy lives on through this scholarship, which supports and empowers young individuals who embody the same character, work ethic, and servant-hearted leadership that Sam modeled throughout his life.
This year, we are proud to award the 2025 Sam Sayre Legacy Scholarship to Quinn Maibach, a graduate of Smithville High School.
Quinn is a three-sport athlete, a strong leader, and a young man deeply rooted in faith. He is actively involved in Bible studies and carries a genuine heart for ministry. Quinn plans to attend Akron Wayne College this fall to study Business Administration, with a long-term goal of owning and operating his own restaurant.
More than just an ambitious student, Quinn lives with intentionality and purpose. His heart for the Lord and desire to impact others through faith and service is exactly the kind of legacy we hope to continue through this scholarship.
We are confident that Quinn will not only thrive in college but will go on to influence others with the same compassion, humility, and strength of character that defined Sam Sayre’s life.
